The Kitchen Dresser

Below is my china teamugs and tea tins in their hanger on the wall for everyday use

Here is my cluttered Kitchen Dresser, complete with "tea making' corner

My plan is to paint the backboards of the dresser a pale pink, to take away some of the dullness.
My pink roses china should really stand out then.

It is going to rain for the next week so I will have to wait for some fine weather.

Day 2 of recovering that vintage stool

A calico mock up, doesn't fit quite right.

Fabric just laid over the stool with vintage braid on top [couldn't find the lace]

Thought about these ones and the one below

But I think the 2 fabrics below work better with the legs of the stool and the vintage braid.

So I think this is it girls! Sewing day tomorrow!
BYe for now,

Delcie

Other delicious eye candy for you!

Here I have a picture of a vintage metal tray, with folding legs underneath, depicting a gorgeous paris scene.

These trays were often stored behing the lounge, folded flat, and then brought out popped open to put a cup of tea on, especially for well known visitors, before coffee tables became popular. I really like the scene on this one so I'd have to get a really generous offer to part with it. This last photo I forgot to turn around.

The "Before' shots of my great little 'find'

Hello there, my photos still aren't brilliant, taken on my phone, quick and easy to upload but not good quality. Our other camera is overseas with my daughter. Enough, enough, show us please....

Okay here is the top of the stool, sorry about the flash!

Here it is tipped over to show the legs - metal goldy & old

Showing the lot (on my gorgeous bedspread in the guest room!)

shows more of the goldish legs - I rather like them like this!
And a maybe rose fabric for the recover...

Another possible fabric and a spot to keep it under the vintage dressing table in the guest room.
Below are a few more fabrics I have in my quilting stash that could be used.

Shabbylicious Vintage Dreams

Just had to show you these lovelies that arrived from a fellow contributor to "Vintage Chic". These gorgeous faux cupcakes were handmade by Mandii at "Shabby Vintage Dreams". I purchased the cupcakes and the lovely tea service from her on ebay. The vintage cake stand was passed down to me through my husband's family when we got married. To find out more type in Vintage Chic or Shabby Vintage Dreams on facebook.

Hope you have a Dreamy Vintage Chic Sunday,

Tealightfully,

Delcie
